Bruce Clay
Director of Design, Sales & Marketing
Bruce Clay has been in the landscape design and building industry for more than 30 years. With his vast experience and unique creative outlook, he brings his outstanding design skills to the table to provide both residential and commercial customers with customized plans to meet their individual needs.
Prior to starting Oak Valley, Bruce worked with a leading national home builder for more than a decade and has been associated with some of the top companies in the country. He holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Michigan State University, as well as a degree in business administration. He is also a Virginia Certified Landscape Designer and is the current President of the Virginia Society of Landscape Designers (VSLD).
In his time off, Bruce enjoys reading, Civil War relic hunting and browsing antique stores with his wife. He has two grown sons.
Tyler Marshall
Director of Field Operations
Tyler Marshall has been involved in the landscape and hardscape design/ build industry for over fourteen years. He has been involved in numerous custom installation projects on some of the finest properties in the Richmond area.
Tyler is a dedicated craftsman whose knowledge and attention to detail sets him apart and above the competition. He is an ICPI certified installer, so a customer can find comfort in knowing their project will be built in compliance with industry standards from start to finish.
In addition to a thorough knowledge of proper landscape planting installation procedures, Tyler has extensive experience constructing hardscape elements including brick patios, terraces, seat and retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, columns, fireplaces, fire pits and other garden structures. His quest for perfection is evidenced in his work every day.
Tyler is married with two children. In his off time he enjoys spending time with family, hunting and four-wheeling.
